about the job

A Compensation and Benefits Executive is responsible for managing, developing, and executing compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retain, and motivate talent within an organisation. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including designing competitive salary structures, administering employee benefits, and ensuring that all programs comply with relevant laws and organisational objectives.

1. Compensation Strategy Development and Management

  • Salary Structure Design: Develop and implement salary structures, compensation scales, and job grading systems that align with the organisation's business goals and market competitiveness.
  • Bench marking and Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and salary surveys to ensure the company's compensation offerings are competitive and in line with industry standards.
  • Pay for Performance: Design and manage performance-based compensation plans (e.g., bonuses, incentives, merit pay) that motivate and reward high performance.

2. Benefits Program Design and Administration

  • Employee Benefits Management: Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks, ensuring they meet employee needs and comply with legal requirements.
  • Benefit Enrolment & Communication: Manage the annual benefits enrolment process, ensure employees are informed of benefits options, and provide guidance on how to maximise their benefits.
  • Compliance and Legal Requirements: Ensure that all benefits programs are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., tax laws, ERISA, healthcare mandates).

3. Compensation and Benefits Analysis

  • Data Analysis: Use compensation data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of existing compensation programs, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure pay equity across the organisation.
  • Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Collaborate with Finance teams to manage compensation and benefits budgets, ensuring that programs are cost-effective while still competitive and attractive to employees.

4. Employee Communication and Education

  • Communication Plans: Develop clear and effective communication strategies to help employees understand their compensation and benefits packages, including the total rewards philosophy.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries about compensation, benefits, and related matters, providing guidance and resolving issues as needed.

5. Program Implementation & Optimisation

  • New Program Roll out: Assist in the design and implementation of new compensation and benefits programs, ensuring smooth execution and employee understanding.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve compensation and benefits programs to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

6. Internal Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR business partners, senior leadership, finance, and other departments to align compensation and benefits strategies with overall organisational objectives.
  • Leadership Support: Provide expert advice to leadership on compensation trends, benefits strategies, and market intelligence.

7. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with compensation and benefits-related laws, regulations, and trends to ensure organisational compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Audit and Reporting: Prepare reports and conduct audits to ensure the company is following best practices and regulatory requirements in compensation and benefits administration.

8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Program Effectiveness: Track and measure the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs, including employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement metrics.
  • Regular Reporting: Prepare regular reports on compensation and benefits trends, including detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement to senior management.

9. Global and Regional Strategy Alignment

  • Global or Regional Integration: Ensure compensation and benefits practices align with global or regional corporate strategies, adhering to consistent guidelines while adapting to local market needs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must have degree, with a minimum of 3.00 CGPA and above, in relevant and or other fields (HR, Legal, Business Management, relevant)
  • Experience in HR , specifically C&B roles, with at least 2-3 years of experience.
  • Must have own transportation, this role requires travelling between 2 offices on a weekly basis.
  • Knowledge of Compensation & Benefits Systems: Expertise in designing and administering compensation programs, including base salary, incentives, and benefits packages.
  • Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of compensation-related regulations, including labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform strategy and optimize programs.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex compensation and benefits information to employees and leadership.
